The Stars Within
Media: Gouache, oil sticks, colored pencils, and digital editing in Photoshop These illustrations capture key moments from my 32-page picture book, The Stars Within, the culmination of my thesis project. They demonstrate how visual storytelling, cultural symbolism, and narrative design can support early literacy, identity, and environmental awareness in children. Inspired by Indigenous South American traditions and the Amazon rainforest, each piece layers vibrant tropical foliage and detailed patterns to create immersive, engaging scenes.
